THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES EVER!!!!!!

I found this Recipe on Pinterest... The Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie...

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 cup butter, softened (113grams)
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 teaspoons hot water
• 1/2 teaspoon salt 
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. (Fan-Forced 175 C to 205 C)

(Makes about 2 1/2 Dozen, but if you roll the cookies smaller... about 4 Dozen)

In the bowl of a stand mixer or using a hand-held electric mixer, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water then add to batter along with salt.

Mix in flour until incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips with a rubber spatula.

 Drop even and large spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Cook for 8 to 12 minutes or until edges are nicely browned!

And.... Vualllllla! The Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie!!!

The Dinner "Situation"

Today, I found a GREAT Recipe from Pinterest !!!! Tomorrow is Australia Day! ... I asked Ben what it was and he said.. I dunno, an excuse for a holiday? HAHA... So I will have to look it up and find out myself. BUT ANYWAY!..... We got the chocolate chips at the CHOCOLATE FACTORY, PANNY's Phillip Island Chocolate!!! After the Chocolate Factory, we went to the Grocery Store... and Ben decided to cook us Dinner!!!! As you can see from the Picture he was a little nervous to make the Burgers....

And............. He tasted the Almost done product....then realised.....he was tasting Plastic........

Why I LOVE Phillip Island

I love Phillip Island b/c there is soooo much to do!
For instance... Going to the beach whenever we please!... Great Cafe's n restaurants... Fishing, take walks to the pier, the nice summer weather, the fun beach shops, our big grocery store "Woolworth", life is slow paced and very laid back .... I could go on and on! Oh and the biggest plus... Being with my husband every day! So thankful for his love!
Any who... Life is great!

Let 2012 Start!

I haven't officially blogged properly since the start of the year, so here goes!

I am finally in AUSTRALIA!!!!

I landed New Years Eve! We spent that night in a VERY Nice Hotel in The middle of the City in Melbourne. We got some dinner on South Bank ( A strip of Tons of Nice Restaurants), Then we waited until 12pm to Strike and Got to Watch all of the Fireworks shoot off of all the Tall Buildings! It was very fun, but we were super tired by the time we got back to our hotel (It took Our Cab about 1 1/2 hours to get back to our hotel when it was only 4 blocks away...city traffic!)

The Next Day we arrived to my (Our) Home... Phillip Island.  Two blocks away is a wonderful Beach (not sure what it is called) But it is so nice to take walks on and just to have a casual Tanning Session when hot outside.

Our House is Great! Little and Perfect size for us! We did have a Possum problem, but luckily the landlord came one night to take his chances on shutting the hole in our roof and there were no possums trapped... so now we sleep peacefully without a disgusting sound of rodent feet running around in our roof.

Ben and I have just been keeping super busy with LIFE! He works about +45 hours a week. I just got a job at the Local RSL being a host. I am also working at the local Y teaching children how to swim ( that wont start till Feb. though).

Ben started his first Golf tournament last week and did AWESOME! Him and his Boss got in 1st place, and then in his event he got 5th!

Things are great in Australia! I do miss my family from time to time, but know that I have such an awesome opportunity and life experiences ahead, living in Australia. My Husband is the BEST! He takes great care of me! I hope I do the same!

Fun weekend with trav

Meet one bens best friends! Travis! We had dinner and played a few games at the rsl! Then I went home and Ben and some of his mates along with trav went bowling and played some table tennis! The next day trav and ben made some amazing pancakes and off to church I went! On the way home from church I stopped to take this picture! I love our new home and life as a married couple! What a fun weekend :)
